Six-Implant Upper-Arch Restoration Completed in Tirunelveli

This treatment at Vetri Dental Clinic began with a clear restorative objective: to provide a fixed replacement for the patient’s complete upper arch. Achieving that result required the surgical and restorative stages to be planned together from the outset.

Following a clinical examination and panoramic assessment, we planned six dental implants across the upper jaw. Their positions were selected to provide support across the arch and create a suitable foundation for the final fixed teeth.

The treatment then progressed through implant placement, healing, and restorative review before the upper arch was completed. This Tirunelveli case demonstrates how full-arch implant treatment develops through a coordinated sequence rather than a single procedure.

Assessing the Upper Arch Before Treatment

Our first priority was to understand the condition of the upper jaw and how it related to the existing lower teeth and restorations. A panoramic dental X-ray helped us assess the available anatomy and review the areas being considered for implant placement.

We also planned the case from the perspective of the final restoration. The position, spacing and direction of the implants needed to support one continuous upper arch rather than several unrelated replacement teeth.

Reviewing the opposing teeth was equally important. The completed upper restoration would need to meet the lower arch appropriately, so we considered this relationship during the initial planning stage rather than waiting until the final teeth were ready.

Planning Six Implant Positions Across the Jaw

For this case, six implants were selected to support the proposed upper restoration. They were distributed across the jaw to provide support from one side of the arch to the other.

The spacing between the implant sites was planned carefully. Each implant needed an appropriate position within the available anatomy while contributing to the support required for the full-arch restoration.

This was a case-specific decision. The number of implants used for another patient may differ according to their bone condition, oral health, medical history, existing teeth and proposed restoration. At our Tirunelveli clinic, we determine the treatment plan only after completing the required clinical and radiographic assessment.

Completing the Surgical Phase

The six implants were placed in their planned positions across the upper jaw. Following placement, the treatment moved into its healing and review period.

Healing components were used at the implant sites during the restorative phase. These kept the implant positions accessible while the surrounding tissues developed and allowed us to monitor the clinical condition before moving forward.

We reviewed the upper arch during this period rather than progressing directly from implant placement to the final restoration. Full-arch treatment requires each stage to be assessed on its own clinical findings, and the timing of the next step depends on how the individual case develops.

Moving from Implants to Fixed Teeth

Once the upper arch was ready for restoration, we prepared the fixed teeth around the established implant positions. The aim was to produce one coordinated arch with an appropriate fit, appearance and relationship to the lower teeth.

We checked how the restoration sat across the supporting implants and assessed the bite before completing the case. These checks were important because the implants and replacement teeth needed to function together as one system.

The final restoration provided a continuous upper row of fixed replacement teeth. Its form was planned specifically for this patient’s mouth and the distribution of the six implants beneath it.

Following the Treatment Through the Clinical Gallery

The clinical gallery presents the treatment as a sequence, beginning with the panoramic assessment and continuing through upper implant placement, the healing phase and the completed fixed restoration. Together, these stages demonstrate the planning and review involved between the initial assessment and the final result.

A Full-Arch Implant Case Completed in Tirunelveli

Patients visiting our Tirunelveli dental clinic may be considering treatment after losing several teeth or a complete arch. This case provides a real example of one possible approach: six implants supporting a fixed upper restoration.

It does not represent a standard plan for every patient. Some people may require a different number or position of implants, additional treatment or another restorative option. We assess each case individually and explain the relevant alternatives before treatment begins.

A Closer Look at This Treatment Sequence

The project video brings the main clinical stages together, from the panoramic assessment and implant positioning to the completed upper teeth. It helps prospective patients understand that the final restoration is the result of several connected stages of planning, surgical care, healing and restorative work.

The Outcome of This Case

This treatment concluded with a fixed upper-arch restoration supported by six dental implants. The implant distribution, final fit and bite were considered as connected parts of the same case.

For our team, this project represents the importance of planning backwards from the intended final teeth, reviewing healing before restoration and checking how the completed upper arch works with the opposing dentition.
